Traumatized At the Spa: Why I Do Mystery Shops
LinkedIn, August 2022
I have been traumatized at the spa more than once in my 30 years of spa-going. There was that time at Burke Williams when a male massage therapist wouldn’t listen to me when I told him he was hurting me during a deep tissue massage. “This is good for you,” he said as he continued, causing further injury which took me weeks to recover from. That stopped me from getting a massage for 6 months.
